Gritchie Brewing Company

Introduction

Gritchie Brewing Company is based at Ashgrove Farm, sited in rural British countryside within the Ashcombe Estate. Here the team have converted an old barn into a brewery using natural resources from the Estate to give people a taste of Britishness.

The Gritchie Brewery works with its local surroundings to make its beer. Maris Otter malt barley is harvested from the Ashgrove fields, and water is sourced from below the land. They take their specially-selected hops and blend them with classic varieties and new breeds, to create a range of well-rounded and sessionable beers.

In this video case study, we speak to Simon Burge, the Sales Manager at Gritchie, about how our solution has enhanced their business.

The Clients Requirement

Simon's role involves increasing Gritchie's presence in pubs, bars, restaurants, and other outlets. Practical cold storage is essential for him to meet the needs of all Gritchie's customers.

"CRS has improved our business by giving us the space to allow our company to grow."

CRS we're recommended to Gritchie by their Head of Production. Gritchie had outgrown their existing storage solution, and with a desire to increase production, they needed more space to grow the business.

The Solution

After a short exchange of emails, CRS conducted an initial site visit and recommended a solution to help streamline Gritchie's production and storage processes. After six weeks, the solution was installed and in use.

CRS worked with the client to understand their needs and growth goals. Our experts recommended the installation of a 60 pallet Mega Cold Store to meet their business's demands.

Gritchie Brewery required the solution to be installed inside an existing building. Challenge accepted! With the aid of a HIAB Loader Crane Lorry and Forklifts, this wasn't a problem for our team of experienced engineers and installers.

The Outcome

Gritchie is now able to brew on volume rather than brewing to order. Keeping beers at a consistent temperature means they can be stored for longer. Their drivers can quickly access stock without impacting production and other stored goods.

"Working with CRS is a very smooth, slick operation. The quality of the service we have received from CRS was second to none. I couldn't recommend them highly enough."

Finally, we'd like to thank Simon and Gritchie brewery for the very positive testimonial and their time featuring in this case study.
